NGC604
Stan Moore
took this remarkable LRGB color image of extragalactic
nebula NGC 604 (located in galaxy M33) with an ST-7E camera equipped
with an AO-7 adaptive optics device, CFW8 color filter wheel and an
H-alpha filter.  The telescope was an 12.5" Ritchey-Chretien operating at F/9.
According to Burnham's, this is the largest known nebula in the universe.  The L
frame is a median of six 30 minute red filtered images plus a 20 minute H-alpha
exposure of the bright central area, R=L, G=30 minutes, B=30 minutes.
