Robert Gendler - composed this LRGB image of the Great Nebula from several imaging
sessions and telescopes.  The RGB frames were taken with an ST-8E and CFW8 color filter
wheel through a Takahashi FSQ106 refractor with RGB exposure times of 9:9:18 minutes.   The
Luminance layer is a 70 minute image with the ST-8E and Takahashi refractor through an H-alpha
filter.  Finally, a high resolution RGB image of the Trapezium was taken with the ST-8E through
a 12.5" RC at F/9 and a mosaic was created with the wide field LRGB image.  The RGB exposure
times for the Trapezium were 3:3:5 minutes.  (Click on the image above to see it full size)
