1 August 2007: Geochron Enterprises Inc. Acquired by Investment Group

Jim Kilburg, the President of Geochron Enterprises Inc. announced today that the company founded in 1964 by his father Jim Kilburg Sr. has been sold to an investment group. The original Kilburg Geochron Corporation was operated by the senior Kilburg before being sold to his son and a partner Bob Williamson in 1985. The partners moved the company from San Mateo to Redwood City, California and there the operated until 2007 as Geochron Enterprises Inc. while they worked to build a successful representation worldwide.

Now the torch is being passed to a new generation of entrepreneurs, and for the first time is not under day to day care of a Kilburg since 1 August 2007 when Geochron Enterprises Inc. was sold to an investment group led by Mr. Tom Kuhn. The new owners will be managing the company under the name of Geochron, Inc. The factory and most of its personnel have since been relocated to Portland, Oregon so production continues fully in the USA. Jim Kilburg and Bob Williamson will continue working with the new owners in Oregon.

The relocated factory resumed making deliveries in September from the new facility in Oregon. And coincidentally, after 32 years of wanting his own Geochron the owner of Company Seven finally treated himself to a new custom cherry wood Geochron Boardroom Model that turned out to be among the very last Grochrons made at Redwood City facility. This is the Geochron illustrated above right.

A $100 Rebate will be given on all four 110 volt 60 cycle Geochron Models sold by Company Seven from 1 October through 31 December. All retail customers who purchase a Geochron during this "window period" will be eligible for a Rebate of $100 US Dollars. To comply with this Rebate Program, our customer must purchase a Geochron during the months of October, November or December and mail the following items:
• Copy of Sale Receipt with customer name, and mailing address.
• Geochron Serial Number

Upon verification, a check for the amount of $100.00 US dollars will be issued to the customer (please allow six weeks for processing). This is a terrific opportunity for your customers to purchase a Geochron Global Time Indicator at a significant savings..
