This announcement describes the new ST-9XEI pricing and features as well as the price reduction and improvements to the ST-9XE.

ST-2000XM Improvements
In January of 2003 the ST-2000XM was improved with a new higher QE KAI-2001M CCD from Kodak.  As of August, 2003, this camera is additionally upgraded with a TC-237H built-in autoguiding CCD that has more than twice the area of the former TC-211.   

April 4, 2003 - New Line of Large Format Cameras
Preview our new large format cameras with up to an 11 megapixel 35mm format CCD.   Dual head, tripple sensor self-guiding with internal 2" filter wheel.   

April 2, 2003 - ST-7XME with >80% Quantum Efficiency
This announcement describes the new ST-7XME with the highest Quantum Efficiency of any camera in its class.  Like having a smaller version of the popular ST-10XME for less than half the price.

December 22, 2001 - ST-10ME Camera with 85% Peak Quantum Efficiency!
This new model has the same array and pixel specifications as the ST-10E but with significantly higher Quantum Efficiency due to new micro lens technology being used to manufacture the KAF-3200ME detector.  Performance approaches that of thinned, back illuminated CCDs but with more versatility and higher resolution of 3 megapixels at 6.8 microns!

March 29, 2001 - SGS Mirror Upgrades Arrived
Users of the SGS Spectrograph with serial numbers ending in ###50 through ###74 should contact SBIG for your mirror upgrades. 

January 12, 2001 - CCDSoft version 5
SBIG and Software Bisque have joined forces to produce CCDSoft version 5.  This one package incorporates and improves upon the previous versions of CCDSoft and CCDOPS.   You may download the Beta version until March 31, 2001.

June 29, 1999 - High Resolution Stellar Spectrograph - Update
This is an update to the announcement posted in February this year.  The first production units have been made and are sold out.  The next production units will be available in September.  This stellar spectrograph is a research quality, high resolution instrument designed specifically for the ST-7 and ST-8 cameras.  The spectrograph's capabilities have been greatly increased with the introduction of the new enhanced detectors for the ST-7 and ST-8 cameras.  

June 9, 1999 - Linux Support for SBIG Cameras
Steve Ashe has developed Linux support for SBIG cameras, including AO-7 control.  This announcement describes his latest developments and includes a link to his ftp site.

May 18, 1999 - Updated software for Blue Enhanced "E" versions of the ST-7/8
This application note describes new versions of the DOS and Windows software for the Blue Enhanced ST-7/8 cameras.

April 8, 1999 - H-alpha Filter and Red Continuum Subtraction Filter
We are now pleased to offer special H-alpha filters and optional red continuum subtraction filters for use with our CCD cameras.  Some very fine examples of images captured in H-alpha light can be found in our Image Gallery

April 8, 1999 - UBVRI Filters for Photometry
These are research grade photometric filters designed to be used with CCD cameras.   Custom filter cells will fit our CFW8 filter wheel as well as any 1.25" nosepiece or other filter wheel threaded for 1.25" filters.

February 16, 1999 - Hartmann Mask Analysis Software
This new Windows 95/98 software is a unique analytical CCD tool for collimating your telescope and measuring the wavefront accuracy of your system.  Available in March, 1999.

February 1, 1999 - New ST-7 / ST-8 Enhanced Blue / Green / Red Sensitivity
Not just blue enhanced - these new detectors appear to have much higher sensitivity across the entire visible spectrum with the same high IR sensitivity and low noise of the existing KAF series detectors.

November 23, 1998 - AO-7 Manual
Click this link to download the AO-7 manual in PDF format.  The introduction contains a description of the AO-7 adaptive optics device and the type of atmospheric aberrations it corrects.

November 17, 1998 - New ST-7 / ST-8 Enhanced Cooling Package
This revised announcement updates some information about the new Enhanced Cooling Package for the ST-7 and ST-8 cameras and our scheduling of modifications.  We are now accepting orders for retro-fits to existing cameras.  

October 22, 1998New RGB Filter Set With IR Coatings
These new filters are designed to give better color balance with the ST-7, ST-8, ST-5C, PixCel 255 and PixCel 237 cameras using a broader blue passband and narrower red passband than the old filters.

 May 13, 1998 - CCDUTIL for ST-4 now Free!
SBIG has now posted the DOS based CCDUTIL software package for the ST-4 on our Web Site for free distribution. This package allows you to make TIFF and FITS files from ST-4 images and offers other handy image processing functions not found in the ST-4's CCD software. Don't forget to get both the Manual (PDF format) and the Software (CCDUTIL.ZIP).
